alas, it has finally arrived. my last night without my boys here in NYC. so what's a girl to do? shop, obv. i've been scouring for new furniture deals that don't cost an arm and a leg, so i thought i'd take a little fashion break.

and i'm the worst "blogger" ever...

I'm not even sure if I should be calling myself a blogger.

I can't believe it's been SO long since I last posted. SO much has happened. It's crazy!

FIRST OFF 
[drum roll please..]

we have moved to New York City!!!! We are, indeed, fancy now. I was staying with a [VERY KIND] girlfriend of mine in a shoebox studio apartment, but we have finally gotten our own place! We literally just moved in 12 seconds ago, so when it's all done (aka there is furniture besides a pull out couch I've been crashing on), I'll definitely post some pics.

SECOND

matt has graduated from his school in newport, ri and will be joining me in the big apple for the next 36 months. i have to recognize the fact that i have been a very lucky lady. matt has been in the navy for four years now and has not seen a deployment. my heart goes out to my friends who i have met along the way who's husbands' are deployed. you are my idols! i know i will be a hot mess when that ship/sub leaves for the first [and every other time...]. SO ANYWAY, what does this mean? well matt got picked up for the sta-21 (seaman to admiral) program. an enlisted to officer thang. he has finished his training at "fork and knife" school [which was super gorgeous by the way] and he will be attending college classes while he is stationed here. when he's all done with college, he will get his commission. i'm so so so proud of him for getting accepted into the ultra competitive program. ily.

THIRD

i have a job! i work A LOT. matt and i have offically proclaimed we have switched spots. in charleston, he was the one busting his ass while i went to work 4 days a week. now he's going to "work" 4 days a week, while i'm working 60+ hours. oh lord. 

FORTH

matt is in south carolina right now getting all of our furniture. weirdest first navy move ever because we had a tdy enroute. whatever that means. needless to say, matt's been in charge of the paperwork. 
BUT GUESS WHO HE IS FINALLY BRINGING BACK?

THIS GEM. Mama's boy. I've missed that little brown nug so much. Can't wait to see him!!
